Searching & Browsing

BotCollector offers several ways to find figures — a global search bar, a full browse page with filters, and a brand-and-series hierarchy you can drill into.

Global Search

The search bar lives in the top navigation and is always available. On desktop you can open it instantly with the keyboard shortcut ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux).

Start typing to see results in a dropdown. Click a result to jump straight to that figure's detail page. Your recent searches are saved locally for quick access.

Browsing Figures

The Figures page shows every figure in the database. Use the filter panel to narrow results down by multiple criteria at once.

Available Filters

  • Brand — the product line or franchise (e.g. Transformers, BeastBox)
  • Series — a specific series within a brand
  • Sub-group — a subset within a series
  • Manufacturer — the company that makes the figure
  • Size class — Deluxe, Voyager, Leader, etc.
  • Gimmick — special features like transforming, combining, or light-up
  • Alliance — faction or team affiliation
  • Year range — filter by release year
  • Size range — filter by physical dimensions
  • Source — switch between official catalog entries and community-contributed figures

Filters are additive — each one narrows the results further. Some filters (like Series) become available after selecting a parent filter (like Brand).

Sorting & View Modes

You can sort results by name, release date, or year. Switch between a grid view (cards with images) and a list view (compact rows) depending on your preference.

Shareable Filter URLs

Every combination of filters updates the page URL. Copy the URL from your browser to share a specific filtered view with someone else — they'll see exactly the same results.

Browsing by Brand & Series

The Brands page lists every brand in the database. Click a brand to see its series grouped by category, with a jump menu for quick navigation.

From there, click into a series to see all of its figures with the same filtering and sorting options available on the main browse page.

The Browse Menu

On desktop, the top navigation includes a Discover menu that opens a panel with brands and their series for quick access. On mobile, the same content is accessible through the hamburger menu.
